It is very easy to configure your keyboard for typing Arabic script and switching between English and Arabic text. This will become handy when you learn how to touch type and start communication on the online forum and on your Skype classes with your teachers. You can also write Arabic (or part English and part Arabic) articles and submit them to the site for comments from other site visitor.
To configure your keyboard follow the instructions below. The instructions are based on the Windows 7 operating system but other Window operating systems will not be much different.
Go to Start - > Control Panel - > Clock, Language, and Region

Select "Regional and Language" settings

Select the “Keyboards and Languages” tab
Click on “Change keyboards...” button
Click on “Add...” button on the General tab
Check the box for Arabic (101) under Arabic (Saudi Arabia)

On the “Advanced Key Settings” tab you can specify hot keys to change between keyboards. Left Alt+Shift is the default and we recommend you keep that way. It will then be easy to switch between the English and Arabic script.

Now you should be ready to write Arabic. Go to the Arabic touch typing tutor and practice your typing skills. Pick passages of the Quran and start typing. Post comments on the forum in Arabic. A whole you world has opened up for you.
Enjoy.
