Our TeachersSheikh Fahimul Anam has graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Studies and Marketing from London, and then went on to complete a Diploma in Arabic Language and subsequently a Bachelors degree in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al Fiqh in Arabic medium from the European Institute of Islamic Sciences in France. While studying Shariah he also completed an intensive Tajwid course on Ibn al-Jazari, a classical Tajwid text, and studied Tajwid extensively under a number of Tajwid scholars. Sheikh Fahim had been teaching, Aqidah, Fiqh, Usul-al Fiqh, Family Life, Tajwid and other Islamic Sciences in UK in various courses, in particular, he taught in Nafar Courses (Understanding Islam), Knowledgeseekers courses (Islamic Sciences), Tartil courses (Beautifying recitation), Itqan courses (Perfecting recitation) since last 7 years. Currently, he teaches Islamic Sciences (Shariah related subjects), Tajwid and Arabic language at the Beacon Institute, to which he is the founder and director. He is currently working for Muslim Mediation Service as a Case Worker and a Lead Mediator, he deals with family issues/conflicts on daily basis, particularly, resolving marital conflicts from the Shariah perspective. He also works for HM Prison Service as an Imam and leads Juma’h prayer at Grendon and Springhill Prisons. He also delivers talks on various Islamic issues at University campuses, Mosques and Islamic Centres. He is married with 2 children. Sheikh Abu Umar is about to complete a PGCE in teaching adults from the Institute of Education, University of London. He has a degree in English and Arabic from Westminster University, London; and two diplomas in Arabic from France and Syria. In Syria he completed a four year Islamic law programme in the Institute of Al-Fath in Damascus. This was an intensive course in which he studied in detail many texts both classical and contemporary, dealing with most of the major Islamic disciplines such as Qur'anic exegesis, Hadith studies, Islamic theology, law, literature, poetry and contemporary Islamic thought. His private tuition with notable scholars included several classical texts in Arabic grammar, Islamic law, Maqasid Al-Shariah and Jurisprudence. He teaches literacy and ESOL to Adults. He has taught many courses in Arabic and other Islamic disciplines since 2002, nationwide. Ustadh Ahmed Faruq Siddiqi's preliminarily study of Islam and Islamic Sciences was with his father Maulana Abdul Qadir. He studied Arabic Language and memorized the Qur'an at the European Institute of Islamic Sciences.He studied classical Shari'ah Sciences with scholars in Syria and completed the BA Islamic Law course from Mahd Al-Fath. He furthered his studies at Al-Azhar University and gained an Ijazah in Islamic Jurisprudence. Currently he is teaching at a secondry school in London and is also a teacher at the Beacon Institute.
